Thika United football club captain Crispin Olando said that the team did not give a walk over and had come to an agreement with the Red Berets captain that the game should continue but the home team drove out of the stadium later over the weekend.
Confirming to the news desk field captain Crispin Olando said that he had already told his team-mates that the game was to continue but he was surprised how the home team reacted as they drove off.
“We were psyched to go back because the heavy down pour would not have stopped us, we were prepared to take on Red berets on that day,” said Olando.
In addition the Captain David Okello said that the red berets captain and the center referee Haji Odede went out to the pitch to confirm if the game should continue.
“Olando together with Maina followed the two and they agreed that the game should continue and as we were preparing ourselves to go back on the pitch,” said Okello.
Thika united head coach Juma Abdalla is calm and waiting for the decision on the game which is to be played within a 14 days period.
